Hello and on behalf of us both, welcome to our site.

At last we have managed to get round to getting our act together and publishing this site. We have both been delving into the realms of digital photography for the first time.
All the images seen below have been taken by either myself (Grahame) or Jacqueline whilst we have been on our travels around the countryside. We are both fairly new to digital photography and are having fun learning how the cameras work

Many years ago I purchased a 35mm camera that has sat redundant for most of the time as I did not really have a clue how to get past the basic settings. Over time as the smaller cameras came on the market I tended to move to them for ease of point and click.

Well what changed my way of thinking.

Around 5 years ago as all the planets lined up in the sky I decided I would like a telescope so I could view them close up. A Mead etx90 telescope was purchased and that was really the start of things. It was not long before I realised through publications like Astronomy Now that imaging techniques had moved on and you were now able to get half decent images of planets and deep sky objects from our earth so the research began. I purchased a simple webcam which attaches to the telescope and followed that with a true astrophotography CCD camera. Whilst these were and still are excellent for the job I felt I wanted to take more wide field shots of the night sky, so I find myself here five years on the proud owner of a canon 20Da. This is the astronomical version of the 20D. This camera is a DSLR where you can change the lens, the majority of the time now finds my camera being used with the telescope acting as the lens. and much of my work is done in prime focus.
Though many of the photos that are to be displayed in my area of the site will be astronomical objects there will also be a good mix with terrestrial shots.

We have both developed our own styles likes and dislikes, whilst I am photographing things millions of miles away in the dark, Jackie has developed a liking for macro photography and her skill is growing fast. We purchased Jackie’s canon 350D around a year ago and she has not looked back since, out it comes at the slightest opportunity "OK I own up I use it as much if not more than Jackie or so she says". It has to be the most used thing we have purchased. She is proving to have a good eye for the shot. We have recently completed building a light box where we can control the lighting on some of the still life and macro work. I will add Though, this is new and we are only just beginning to use it so watch out for some of the shots over the coming months.

Well enough for now please enjoy the images.
